Meet the Staff
Terry Kelly
After fourteen years of working in the nursing home industry Terry decided to put his love for running to a more practical use and joined the team at Runaway Success -- he couldn't be happier. From Conestoga High School Terry headed to Villanova University. Here he realized maybe classwork should be a greater focus than trying to stay on the cross-country team as a walk on.
"Go west young man!" is what he did after graduation spending time in Boulder, Portland, and Spokane. Running was an "off again-on again" thing for 10 years or so, but just before turning 30 he decided it was time to grow up and be alittle more serious -- so he began a second running career. He also met his wife to be and ended up moving back east to start a family.
Likes: Just about any light-weight training shoe. Training too fast. Races that give things other than medals as awards.
Dislikes: Traffic. Runners/walkers that ignore you even once you have said "Hi" to them as you pass by.
Best Sports Moment: Being in the Penn Relays (even if I was really slow). The Boston Marathon - Hallowed ground for any runner. Having my daughter cross the finish line of a 5k in 18:17.5 as I pushed her running 18:18
Sports Goal: Breaking any of the PR's I set before I turned 20.
Quote: "It takes all the running you can do to stay in one place, to get anywhere you have to run twice as fast" - From Alice in Wonderland
